Overseer Tyra S. Brown is a devoted servant of God, an anointed leader, and a faithful vessel committed to advancing the Kingdom of God. Answering the divine call to ministry at the age of 16, she has continued to walk boldly in purpose, demonstrating unwavering faith, steadfast dedication, and a genuine heart for God’s people.
Throughout her ministerial journey, Overseer Brown has remained faithful to her calling. In 2021, she was ordained as an Elder, and in 2023, she was elevated and appointed to the sacred office of Overseer. Continuing in God’s divine assignment, she was appointed Executive Pastor of Dwelling Place Revival Cathedral in 2026.
In this role, Overseer Brown serves alongside her husband, Bishop Christopher L. Brown, helping to fulfill the vision of building a ministry rooted in God’s presence, spiritual restoration, discipleship, and Kingdom advancement. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to supporting the vision of the house, strengthening God’s people, and helping cultivate a healthy and effective ministry.
Overseer Brown is a graduate of Ferris High School and furthered her education at New Jersey City University, where she studied Psychology. In addition to her ministerial responsibilities, she maintains a professional career in transportation as a Conductor for the Port Authority Trans-Hudson. Her commitment to both ministry and professional excellence reflects her dedication to serving others in every area of her life.
Beyond the pulpit, Overseer Brown is a loving wife to Bishop Christopher L. Brown and a devoted mother to Syniah, Symora, Shamar, Neriah, Nya, and Nasir. Family remains an essential part of her life, and she strives to lead by example through faith, love, wisdom, and godly principles.
Overseer Brown stands firmly upon the promises of God, drawing strength and encouragement from Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
